Pros:
It’s accelerated, of course, so it goes by very quickly. I am receiving 2 degrees in 2 years!
You’ll be able to land that dream job in no time.
You are less likely to lose focus.
Cons:
You have to learn a lot of material in a short period of time.
You do not get many breaks. We have classes during the summer, and due to the pandemic, many of our breaks were taken away during the BSN portion of my program.
People will give you unsolicited advice. Many nurses will have their own opinion about doing an Accelerated BSN + MSN program, and they will probably tell you how they feel about it, even if you didn’t ask them. This is something I did not expect and was not prepared for. At the end of the day, it’s your life, girl. Stay the course and DO YOU!
